Creating Joy in Workplaces

One basic element was amiss in these workplaces and that was `Joy’. We tried to understand whether there is a relation between joy in workplace and the nature of work. We realized that Joy comes from passionate involvement in work and unless aptitude is aligned to `job profile', involvement hardly occurs. However, high contribution, which is a primary focus area of employers comes from high involvement of employees in their work. Therefore, employee engagement and work profile design should consider alignment with the aptitude of employees.
